Senior Peyton Crumpton (2-0) struck out 14 and allowed 0 hits through 5 innings as Whitmire won their Region 1-A opener. Crumpton only allowed an error and a walk. Senior Casey Stevens (1 for 2, 3 BBS) added a 2-run HR. Junior Cason English (3 for 3, 2B) and 8th Grader Blake Stribble (3 for 4, 2 2B) helped to lead the offensive attack.
